Mexican Immigrant Dies In Border Patrol Custody In Tucson
A 30-year-old Mexican immigrant was hospitalized Monday with dehydration while in the custody of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
TUCSON, AZ — A 30-year-old man from Mexico died at a Tucson hospital Monday morning after he was hospitalized with signs of dehydration, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency announced.
The man was held at the Tucson Coordination Center, a processing facility operated by U.S. Border Patrol, where a medical professional became aware that the man was possibly dehydrated Sunday.
Emergency medical teams were called to tend to the man and he was quickly taken to a nearby hospital with help from the Tucson Fire Department. The man passed away Monday morning and doctors were unable to revive him, border patrol said.

No other details have been released, including the man's identity. A spokesman for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
