Nearly 800 Tucson Jobs Cut In Mass Layoff: Reports
Concentrix will lay off nearly 800 workers from its Tucson location in April.
TUCSON, AZ — Nearly 800 employees of the Concentrix Corp. call center in Tucson are going to lose their jobs, according to reports. The mass layoff comes months after Concentrix's October purchase of Convergys, who previously ran the center.
A Concentrix letter to employees, as obtained by KOLD, says their employment will be terminated on April 30, 2019. The company "intends to close the client program of which you work that is located in the Tucson facility at 3760 N. Commerce Dr.," the letter says.
The Arizona Daily Star reported Concentrix plans to keep over 100 employees at work in the Tucson location.
