Pedestrian Dies From Injuries Week After Being Hit By Car
Jessica Morgan sustained serious injuries in the Aug. 5 collision on West Valencia Road.
TUCSON, AZ — A pedestrian has died from her injuries after a car struck her as she was crossing the street on Aug. 5, according to a news release from the Tucson Police Department.
Jessica R. Morgan, 32, was in or near a bicycle crossing on West Valencia Road near South San Fernando Road in Tucson at 9:43 p.m. when the collision happened. The light at the intersection used to stop traffic for pedestrians was functional but was not on at the time of the incident, police said.
Medics transported Morgan to Banner University Medical Center to be treated for her injuries.

Morgan was crossing the road mid-block, which police say contributed to the crash.
The driver of the car cooperated with police and was not impaired, according to the release.
