Pima County Voter Registration Tops 600,000 For First Time
The Pima County Recorder's office announced Tuesday that 600,000 residents are now registered to vote in the Nov. 3 election.

TUCSON, AZ — For the first time in history, voter registration topped 600,000 in Pima County, the recorder's office announced Tuesday.
There are now 602,697 people registered to vote in the county, according to a news release from F. Ann Rodriguez, Pima County recorder. Voter registration totaled 543,509 at the time of the 2016 presidential election.
“Early in 2020, there was a big push from various organizations and we processed many new voter
registrations,” Rodriguez said. “We’re still seeing a steady increase in voter registrations online,
in person at our office, and through the mail.”

Of those registered, 244,661 registered as Democrats, 177,048 are Republicans, 4,595 are Libertarians, 1,039 are members of the Green Party and 175,354 are registered under others.
Rodriguez encouraged anyone eligible who has yet to register to do so soon. The deadline to register to vote in the general election is coming up on Oct. 5.
