The sheriff's department is conducting "a very active investigation" for a shooter who fired several rounds into a Tucson restaurant Sunday.

TUCSON – Slightly before 8 p.m. Sunday, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a shooting at a Tucson restaurant near Panorama and Oracle roads. Upon deputies’ arrival at Mr. An’s restaurant at 6091 N. Oracle Road, where the shooting occurred, they learned that the gunman had stood outside the restaurant while firing several rounds of gunshots into the building.

After the shooting, the suspect walked away from the crime scene, witnesses said. Meanwhile, one of Mr. An’s customers sustained “very minor injuries” that didn’t need medical treatment, according to the sheriff’s department.

Authorities are calling this “a very active investigation” in search of the suspect, whom they say is a thin Causacian male who was wearing a black shirt and black shorts at the time of the shooting.
