Thanksgiving Cross Country Classic 2021 Is On In Tucson
If you're looking to get your heart pumping ahead of the big holiday meal, Reid Park in Tucson is the place to be Thanksgiving morning.
TUCSON, AZ — Starting off Thanksgiving Day with a turkey trot has become almost as much of a tradition among the athletically-inclined and health conscious as big meal with turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce.
Tucson's original Thanksgiving Day turkey trot is the Thanksgiving Cross Country Classic, featuring a 5k and a 1.5 mile fun run.
The runs are cross-country style, on dirt, grass and a small amount of asphalt.

The run begins at the southwest corner of Reid Park, at the intersection of 22nd Street and Country Club Road. The women's 5k begins at 8 a.m., the men's 5k begins at 8:45 a.m. and the co-ed fun run begins at 9:30 a.m.
Registration ends at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
