Thunderstorms Headed For Tucson This Weekend

There is a chance of thunderstorms all weekend in Tucson, with storms most likely on Sunday afternoon.

TUCSON, AZ — It's likely to be a wet weekend in Tucson, with a chance of thunderstorms Friday, Saturday and Sunday, according to the Accuweather forecast.

Accuweather forecasts a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms both Friday and Saturday evening, with a 77 percent chance of thunderstorms on Sunday. Sunday storms are expected to bring with them heavy afternoon rain.

The expected highs on Saturday and Sunday were 98 and 94 degrees, respectively with overnight lows in the lower 80s.

The National Weather Service warned of wind gusts on Sunday, possibly up to 21 mph.
