Pima County 911 Lines Return After Temporary Outage

A temporary outage was reported for 911 lines in Pima County, the sheriff's department announced Monday evening, before returning.

TUCSON — Pima County 911 lines temporarily went down down for the entire region, the Pima County Sheriff's Department announced Monday evening.

Those in need of assistance were advised to call (520) 351-4900 or text 911, which was still operational. Additional information, including the reason for the outage, was not immediately available.

The Tucson Police Department announced that the lines were back up and running around 5:15 p.m. Those in the middle of an emergency can call 911 again.
