Tucson Man Arrested For Trying To Abduct Little Girl: PD

Police say that they found Alonso Rodriguez in his car about 24 hours after he tried to abduct a 9-year-old from her bedroom.

TUCSON, AZ – The man that Tucson Police say tried to kidnap a 9-year-old from her bedroom is under arrest. Alonso Rodriguez is charged with attempted kidnapping and burglary.

Police say that just before 6:30 on Sunday morning, the 29-year-old Rodriguez opened the window of the girl's bedroom and tried to convince her to go with him.

As that was going on, a family member heard the commotion, opened the bedroom and scared Rodriguez off, police say.

They have not yet said why they think Rodriguez targeted the girl.
