Tucson Man Who Murdered Ex-Girlfriend's Boyfriend Gets Life

A jury had taken less than one day to convict Steven Leska for sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend and killing her boyfriend.

TUCSON, AZ – Steven Leska, who sexually assaulted his ex-girlfriend and killed her boyfriend, will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Leska was convicted last month. The jury took less than one day to reach it's decision.

It was February 19, 2016 when Leska broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend on the northwest side of town.

James Kozar was pronounced dead at the scene.

The couple had been sleeping when Leska broke in.

After killing Kozar, he had tied up the woman and sexually assaulted her. At one point, she managed to convince him to let her go to the bathroom. She managed to escape through a window.

He chased her outside and started assaulting her with a rock before he was subdued.
