Tucson Nonprofit Runs Medical Supply Donation Drive

World Care is asking Tucsonans to donate unwanted medical supplies instead of trashing them.

TUCSON, AZ — Tucsonans with extra health and medical supplies are encouraged to make a donation to World Care, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing for those in need. The medical equipment drive runs from Friday, April 12, to Saturday, April 13, according to Tucson Weekly.

Much of what they're asking for is related to senior care: hygiene supplies, wheelchairs, walkers, adult diapers, bedside commodes, knee scooters and more.

Tucson Weekly reported World Care was founded 1993 and has expanded its efforts to include working for education, health, the environment, technology and emergency relief. Mainly, they collect unwanted items from the community and give them to those in need, as opposed to them being thrown away.
