Tucson PD Seeks Gunman In Deadly Shooting
A man was fatally shot in his car Thursday morning, and Tucson police are searching for the shooter.
TUCSON, AZ — Tucson police officers are searching for a suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday morning.
According to a news release from the Tucson Police Department, officers were sent to the area around E. Rocky Vista Drive after receiving calls of a man with a gunshot wound. Officers found him sitting in a car and immediately began rendering aid. Members of the Tucson Fire Department took over but the victim died shortly after they arrived on the scene.
He has since been identified as 31-year-old Jeffrey Allen Ferri Jr.

Detectives with the department's Violent Crimes Unit began their investigation.
"After processing the scene and speaking with witnesses, detectives were able to determine the victim was visiting a friend in the area," Sgt. Richard Gradillas, a department spokesperson, said in a statement. "After leaving his friend’s home, Mr. Ferri was last seen seated in his vehicle. A short time later, witnesses reported hearing gunfire, and the victim was located soon after."

No arrests have been made yet but the investigation is ongoing. The police are asking anyone with information to call 88-CRIME. Callers can be anonymous.
