According to police, the driver of the Nissan stopped after the collision and cooperated with the investigation.
The driver was evaluated for impairment by an officer from the TPD's DUI Unit, and it was determined that the driver was not impaired at the time of the collision, police said.
The TPD said mid-block crossing by the pedestrian was the major contributing factor in the fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision.
