Tucson Police Probe Shooting, Discover Possible Human Smugglers

On Tuesday, a reported shooting caused a lockdown at two schools. While Tucson PD found no shooting, they may have found human smugglers.

TUSCON, AZ –As Tucson police investigated a reported shooting on Tuesday, they ended up discovering something unexpected. Police found a house that may be connected to a human smuggling operation.

The reported shooting caused Pueblo Magnet High School and St. John's Catholic School to go into lockdown.

Tucson police had responded to the area of 12th Avenue and Ajo Way. While they did not find any evidence of a shooting, they came upon three men who said that they were being chased by a man with knife.

They claimed to have been brought into the country and dropped off at the house where they had been held.
