Tucson Police: Suspect, K-9 Injured In Shooting
An armed robbery suspect and a Tucson police dog were injured in a shooting that took place late Thursday night.
TUCSON — Detectives are investigating after an armed robbery suspect and a Tucson Police Department dog were injured in a shooting that occurred late Thursday night, the department said.
According to Tucson police spokesman Sgt. Pete Dugan, the incident occurred near Midvale Park and Headley Roads around 11 p.m.
According to a Facebook post, Tango was shot twice in the leg but was able to continue running and help police officers catch the suspect. He was rushed to an emergency vet and went into surgery. He's expected to make a full recovery.

"Tango saved countless lives last night, and all officers were able to return home safely because of his valor," the Facebook post said.
