Tucson School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

TUCSON, AZ — The first day of school in Tucson is August 2 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Tucson School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

August

• 8/2: Students' First Day

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/12 - 9/14: K-8 Half Day (Parent Teacher Conference)
• 9/14: 9-12: Half Day (Parent Teacher Conference)

October

• 10/5: No School (Grading Day)
• 10/8 - 10/12: No School (Fall Break)

November

• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/21: No School (Grading Day)
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/4: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/14 - 2/15: K-8 Half Day (Parent Teacher Conference)
• 2/15: 9-12 Half Day (Parent Teacher Conference)
• 2/21 - 2/22: No School (Rodeo Vacation)

March

• 3/15: No School (Grading Day)
• 3/18 - 3/22: No School (Spring Break)

April

• 4/19: No School (Good Friday)

May

• 5/23: Last Day For Students / Graduation Day
• 5/24: Last Day For Teachers
