• Verde Village pond may become a park (journalaz.com) — Verde Village’s 4.22-acre duck pond may be drained and turned into Yavapai County’s first park in District 3, after supervisors voted to study taking it over. With ditch water ending in 2028 and structural concerns mounting, county staff will explore costs, environmental impacts, and grants to prevent the site from becoming a blighted, dried-up pond in this unincorporated community.
