Welcome to Election Day 2022. Arkansans will choose a new governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general along with numerous other federal, state, county and local officials, as well as vote on four proposed amendments to the state constitution.

Polls open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. Some voting locations may have changed since the last time you votes, so be sure to check. You can find your voting location using this tool on the Secretary of State’s website or via your county clerk’s website.

Don’t forget to check your polling place!

Chris Powell, press secretary for the Arkansas Secretary of State’s office, said there hadn’t been any major election problems across the state as of about 1:30 p.m.

He encouraged people to verify their polling places before heading out to vote. He said that one man at his polling place waited in line for about 40 minutes before being told his polling place had changed.

You can check your polling place by using an online tool created by the Secretary of State’s office.

Once the polls close at 7:30 p.m., results will start to be posted on the Secretary of State’s office website, starting with early votes and absentee ballots.
