Community School of the Arts announces its production of The Little Mermaid presented by the CSA Youth Theatre Company, a company of teens from several school districts in the region.

Based on the classic animated film, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is a charming love story for the ages. This fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.” Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab, to restore order under the sea.

The production takes place at the ArcBest Performing Arts Center in downtown Fort Smith March 18-19.  Show times are set for 7pm Friday March 18 and 2pm & 7pm Saturday March 19.  This timeless classic is perfect for the entire family!

The production is led by Director Shannon Stoddard, Musical Direction by Cody Walls, choreography by Dylan Blackwood, costumes by Lolly Swicegood, and set design and construction by Mark Huneycutt and Cecilia Williams.  The show will feature 31 teens grades 7-12 throughout the River Valley.
