Walters, 79, helped win a landmark racial discrimination case against the City of Little Rock and spent decades shaping local law enforcement and mentoring younger officers.
   

2. Two sloth bear cubs join Little Rock Zoo family (kark.com) — Little Rock Zoo has welcomed two new sloth bear cubs, born to mother Kayla in the early hours of Dec. 21. The birth is part of a national conservation effort with Philadelphia Zoo and the Sloth Bear Species Survival Plan, and zoo officials say a gender reveal and more updates will be shared soon online.
