Aldi Bumps Starting Pay To $23 An Hour, Will Hire More Workers In CA
Aldi plans to hire more than 13,000 store and warehouse associates as it prepares for the upcoming holiday season, the company said.

CALIFORNIA — Popular grocery retailer Aldi announced this week it plans to bump its starting wage to $23 per hour for some positions as the company seeks to hire thousands of new employees in California and other U.S. states.
In a news release, Aldi officials said the company plans to hire more than 13,000 store and warehouse associates as it prepares for the upcoming holiday season and continues adding new stores across the United States.
To entice new employees, the company said it plans to raise its national average hourly pay. The new wage for open Aldi store and warehouse positions will be $18 and $23 per hour, respectively, based on market and position.

"Whether it’s our in-store team filling shelves with fresh produce, warehouse staff managing logistics, or drivers delivering our trending ALDI Finds, our employees fuel the quicker, easier and more affordable shopping experience our shoppers know and love," Aldi President Atty McGrath said in a statement.
Any Aldi employee working more than 30 hours per week will also have access to health insurance, paid time off and other benefits. The company also offers flexible scheduling and 100 percent paid parental and caregiver leave.

Aldi has 106 locations in California, according to the company's website.
