This Beloved CA Burger Chain Has Some Of The Worst Fries, Ranking Says
Eat This, Not That! ranked the Golden State mainstay 12th out of 13 for fast food fries.

CALIFORNIA — In-N-Out may be a California classic but its fries are a flop, at least according to one recent ranking.
Eat This, Not That! ranked the Golden State mainstay 12th out of 13 for fast food fries, with Arby’s crinkle fries saving In-N-Out from last place.
“For as feverishly popular as In-N-Out is, especially for its burgers, it remains true that the fries are…divisive, to put it mildly,” Eat This, Not That! explained. “For every chef endorsement, there's another list ranking them among the worst.”

“Yes, they're famously and proudly cut fresh, using Kennebec potatoes, which is all laudable. But the fact that they're also infamously averse to frying them twice, or blanching them ahead of time, ensures that they turn into stale, room-temp matchsticks in mere minutes.”
Just ahead of In-N-Out on the list were WingStop fries in 11th place.

On the other end of the fry spectrum, Arby’s curly fries came in third, Wendy’s fries were second and McDonald’s fries came in first.
