CA Peaches Recalled Due To Listeria
Listeria monocytogenes was found in the facility where the fruit was packed, authorities said.

California-grown peaches are being recalled due to potential Listeria contamination, according to authorities.
Moonlight Companies is voluntarily recalling the conventional yellow and white peaches after Listeria monocytogenes was found in the facility where the fruit was packed, authorities said, noting no illnesses had been reported as of Oct. 29.
The peaches were sold at stores nationwide from Sept. 16 to Oct. 29 as individual pieces of fruit with stickers and in multi-packs, according to the company announcement, published by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.

Listeria typically causes short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, nausea and diarrhea in healthy people, but it can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women and can be fatal in young children and frail or elderly people.
