Ferguson Fire: 49,000 Acres, 29% Contained
The fire burning near Yosemite National Park has grown in containment.

MARIPOSA COUNTY, CA -- A fire that prompted closures at the popular Yosemite National Park was 29 percent contained as of Saturday morning. Now in its 16th day, the fire has burned nearly 50,000 acres and killed one person.
Another seven people were injured and one structure was destroyed, but officials said no homes have been damaged.
The blaze ignited July 13 in the Sierra National Forest. Much of the fire is burning in steep, rugged terrain with little to no access roads, officials said.
