Fur-Ocious Striker: Lake Tahoe Bear Plays Soccer In Front Lawn (VIDEO)

A youthful black bear in Lake Tahoe did its best impression of Lionel Messi, knocking a soccer ball around a home's front lawn.

LAKE TAHOE, CA — California has a fur-ocious, up-and-coming striker coming out of the woods of Lake Tahoe.

Two videos obtained by the Tahoe Daily Tribune show a youthful black bear playing soccer on the front lawn of a Tahoe neighborhood.

While the bear doesn't appear to be quite at the level of Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo — yet — it showed off impressive agility and speed, with quick turns and pivots, and rare tree-climbing abilities.

In one video, the bear grabs the soccer ball on a neighbor's front lawn, climbs a tree with the ball in its mouth, lets the ball drop and heads to a second tree. It grabs the ball again, and takes it up the second tree.

The bear may need to work on its long-term conditioning before professional scouts take notice — it appeared to need a rest mere seconds after the second climb.
