Massive Recall: 3.8 Million Pounds Of Popular Kid's Food Recalled Over Choking Hazard
Several people have been injured.
LIVINGSTON, CA — California-based Foster Poultry Farms is recalling about 3.8 million pounds of chicken corn dog and ground turkey on a stick products that may have pieces of wood in the batter, according to an announcement from federal authorities.
The problem was discovered after the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service received a complaint about an injury caused by eating the products. More complaints followed, with a total of five known injuries.

The items made by the Livingston-based company were shipped to retail locations, but also to the U.S. Department of Defense and to USDA Commodity Foods donations. They were also distributed to schools through commercial sales.
“Consumers and institutions who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them,” the announcement said. “These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.”
