We just launched a fun, easy way for you to communicate with neighbors — and talk to your local Patch editor — in your California community.

Good news: Posting on Patch just got a whole lot easier. Now, whenever you visit your local homepage, you'll see a simple posting box at the top of the page.

Here at Patch, we're calling it "quick post." But it's basically just a box that you type into and hit the "Post" button, just like you would on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and the rest.

You can use the new posting box to share your questions, alerts, recommendations, callouts, classifieds, local news stories or tips — whatever you think your neighbors, or your local Patch editor, should know about!

2. Tales of a "Poopie bag scofflaw" in Larkspur, CA

"Over the last five years I have noticed that some people with dogs go through the motions of picking up their dogs poop; tie the bag closed and leave it on the path, they are walking. I have never seen anyone actually do it or I would confront them directly. This happens mostly on the path between Larkspur and Corte Madera. I have talked with others on the path regarding this issue and we have named the individuals involved The Poopie Bag Scofflaw. Some of the bags are not biodegradable. "COYOTE SPOTTED on 5200 block of Lemp Ave. (just north of Magnolia and south of Weddington), 1:15 am on Friday, 12/7/18. It ran off in the direction of North Hollywood High School. Please be careful and keep your pets indoors, especially at night. A coyote can jump a 8 foot fence to get a fenced-in pet.
