YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, CA — Annanya Ghosh took this remarkable photo of the famous “Firefall” phenomenon at Horsetail Fall in Yosemite National Park.

This rare event occurs in mid-to-late February, when the setting sun aligns perfectly with the waterfall, illuminating it with a fiery orange glow that resembles flowing lava.

According to the National Park Service, "This unique lighting effect happens only on evenings with a clear sky when the waterfall is flowing and when the sun is at the right angle in mid– to late February."
