• Adelanto City Council's gift makes science camp possible for local kids (vvdailypress.com) — Adelanto City Council has donated $7,500 so fifth-graders from Gus Franklin Jr. Elementary, in the Adelanto Elementary School District, can attend science camp in April 2026. The gift jump-starts a roughly $30,000 fundraising push and gives many local students, whose families can’t easily afford the trip, a chance to explore hands-on STEM learning in the San Bernardino Mountains.
   

• Immigrants celebrate Mass at Adelanto ICE facility with CA bishops (angelusnews.com) — Catholic bishops recently celebrated Mass with hundreds of detainees at the ICE Processing Center outside Adelanto, then met parishioners at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in town. They emphasized compassion for immigrants, called out both parties over stalled reform, and pledged continued pastoral visits and prayers for those held at the High Desert facility.
