101 Freeway Closures Continue Monday For Wildlife Crossing

AGOURA HILLS, CA — Construction on the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing will close part of the Ventura (101) Freeway starting Monday.

The following closures are scheduled to start Monday and last through Friday:

  • Southbound Liberty Canyon off-ramp and northbound Liberty Canyon on-ramp to 101 Freeway; intermittent closures from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.; complete closure from 7 p.m. - 6 a.m. daily.
  • One northbound freeway lane; 7 p.m. - 5 a.m. daily.
  • One southbound freeway lane; 8 p.m. - 5 a.m. daily.
  • Two lanes in either direction; 10 p.m. - 5 a.m. daily.

The Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing is expected to be finished in 2025. The crossing aims to protect Southern California wildlife by preserving genetic diversity and offering safe passage to other wildlife populations
