3 Coyotes Spotted In Agoura Hills Thursday

Three coyotes were spotted by Agoura Hills city staff Thursday morning.

AGOURA HILLS — Three coyotes were spotted in Agoura Hills Thursday morning along Chesebro Road.

City staff saw the coyotes Thursday during a field activity related to the weather, deputy city manager Louis Celaya said. Given wildlife is common in this area, the city let the coyotes be, Celaya said.

Residents should look out for wildlife crossing on Agoura Road and in Old Agoura, the city said Thursday.

Coyote and other wildlife sightings are very common in and around Agoura Hills. Earlier this month, four mountain lion kittens were found outside a Thousand Oaks office building.

Wildlife and open space preservation has long been a priority for the city, and the city will soon be home to a major wildlife crossing project to protect wildlife and promote biodiversity in the Santa Monica Mountains.
