84-Year-Old Woman Killed In Apparent Hit-And-Run: Police

The woman was found overnight in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Thousand Oaks, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

THOUSAND OAKS, CA — A woman was killed overnight in an apparent hit-and-run crash in Thousand Oaks, according to authorities.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded shortly after midnight Sunday to a report of a woman in medical distress in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Los Feliz Drive, Capt. James Sullivan said. The 84-year-old victim was pronounced dead shortly after law enforcement arrived and investigators believe the fatality was caused by a hit-and-run collision, according to Sullivan.

The crash is thought to be an isolated incident, Sullivan said, adding more information was expected to be released later Sunday.
