95 Degree Temps Expected In Agoura Hills; Heat Advisory Issued

AGOURA HILLS, CA — Los Angeles County braced for another heat wave Monday as the National Weather Service issued heat advisories in the San Fernando Valley and Santa Monica Mountains.

Agoura Hills was no exception, with temperatures reaching 91 degrees Monday and projected to get up to 95 degrees Tuesday, according to AccuWeather. Wednesday was expected to hit 94 degrees, with temperatures dropping to the mid-80s by Friday.

The Los Angeles County Public Health Department issued an excessive heat warning in the San Fernando Valley and Santa Monica Mountains for Monday and Tuesday.

Residents were advised to drink plenty of water, avoid being outside in the hottest hours and beware for signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Visit this link for more information about heat-related illness.

Neighboring areas in the San Fernando Valley were expected to see temperatures over 100 degrees throughout the week. Calabasas was expected to see a high of 98 degrees Tuesday, and Northridge, Granada Hills and Panorama City were expected to hit at least 101 degrees Tuesday, according to Accuweather.

The coast was still expected to see increased temps but, as usual, would remain cooler than its inland neighbors. Malibu was expected to see a high of 80 degrees Tuesday with Pacific Palisades hitting 87. Santa Monica was projected to hit a high of 83 degrees Tuesday.
