AGOURA HILLS, CA — The city completed its revamp of the Roadside Drive bridge, including adding a sidewalk and widening the bridge.

Agoura Hills personnel on Tuesday hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly improved bridge, which was expanded from 30 to 42 feet. Construction on the bridge started in 2021 and included adding a sidewalk to the south side of Roadside Drive, relocating utilities, installing landscaping and improving drainage, according to the city.

"Maintenance and reconstruction of smaller local bridges is as important as anything else we undertake," said Public Works Director and City Engineer Jessica Forte. "Thank you for the patience everyone has shown us during construction, we're all happy to announce the project is complete."

The bridge was also part of the city's plan to make Agoura Hills more safe and accessible by bike.

"We're also excited that we were able to include the first implementation of our Bicycle Master Plan," Forte said.
