Agoura Hills Woman Sentenced in Decade Old Vehicular Manslaughter Case

Prosecutors say Diana Shakhov of Agoura Hills took muscle relaxants in the crash that killed a teenager in Thousand Oaks in 2003.

An Agoura Hills woman was sentenced this week in a 10-year-old vehicular manslaughter case stemming from the death of a Thousand Oaks teenager.

Diana Shakhov, 42, was sentenced Monday to 270 days in jail and three years probation in the May 1, 2003 death of Nicole Johnson, 17, who attended Westlake High School, according to the Ventura County Star.

The sentence followed a plea deal reached in the case.

Ventura County Deputy District Attorney Scott Hendrickson and Shakhov’s Beverly Hills-based attorney Howard Price did not immediately return calls for comment.
