• Pure Water Project to Start Construction (valleynewsgroup.com) — Agoura Hills will host a major new Advanced Water Purification Facility that’s expected to supply up to 30% of the region’s drinking water once it opens around 2030. Construction is slated to begin in 2026, sharply reducing reliance on imported water and cutting discharges into Malibu Creek, with local agencies, including the City of Agoura Hills, partnering to deliver this long-term investment. 
• Film fest pivots from Agoura Hills and Calabasas to T.O. (mpacorn.com) — Agoura Hills moviegoers will see Malibu Film Society’s awards-season screenings shift from recently demolished local and Calabasas theaters to the AMC Dine-In Thousand Oaks 14. The society is rolling out a new series there with high-profile films, filmmaker Q&As, and discounted or free admission options for members and guests, keeping prestige cinema accessible just a short drive from town.
