Effective July 1, the City of Agoura Hills will be assuming the responsibility of processing business license applications from the County of Los Angeles.
As previously reported, the City Council adopted Ordinance 13-401 May 8, establishing a Business License Program.
"Certain types of businesses will still need to take that extra step," said Kamino. "For example, restaurants will still need to file with the Health Department, but they can coordinate a business license with us."
Agoura Hills is one of five incorporated cities in LA County, out of 88, that still contracts with the county for business licensing, Kamino said.
"This new process should make it a lot easier for businesses to locate in Agoura," he said.
