Cultural Arts Council Seeks Arts & Culture Listings for Online Directory

By Judi Uthus

The Agoura Hills Cultural Arts Council (CAC) is seeking community listings for a new online 91301.org arts and entertainment calendar and directory.

The 91301.org website spotlights the wide range of cultural offerings found within the 91301 region. The five categories of listings are Eat, Shop, Play, Learn & Stay. Specialty restaurants and shops; art, music, literature and performance events; and classes or workshops related to the arts or local history are desired.

To post an event or listing for consideration, go to http://91301.org and click the submission button located under the calendar. It will link to a simple form to fill out.

The CAC will review the submissions and accept those appropriate for the website.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available on the website. Businesses, organizations or individuals interested in supporting local arts and entertainment will receive recognition.

The 91301.org website was created to bring the public up-to-date information on local cultural events, said Amy Brink, director of Agoura Hills Community Services Department.

“The website is a resource for both residents and visitors to have access to current information on events, entertainment, restaurants, shopping, cultural learning opportunities and ideas on what to see and do," Brink said.

The public may also sign up to receive Twitter and Facebook notifications on local events and happenings around the Conejo Valley.

The 91301.org website adds to the many programs being developed by the Cultural Arts Council to create a vibrant cultural arts community locally and to help provide networking opportunities that nurture an arts-focused community where people desire to live, work, and visit.
