Agoura Hills Gets Seussy
In honor of Dr. Seuss' 109th birthday and Read Across America, two local institutions celebrate with stories and song.
In honor of the nation-wide Read Across America and Dr. Seuss' 109th Birthday, Yerba Buena Elementary School and Agoura Hills Library held their annual read-along celebrations last week.
At Yerba Buena Thursday night, teachers and guest readers held court for hundreds of students in several classrooms as they read stories in a round-robin fashion. Original artwork was showcased in the multi-purpose room and birthday cake and refreshments were served afterwards.

On Saturday, performer Nicole Tibbetts, decked out as the Cat-in-the-Hat, entertained dozens of children with songs and her favorite Dr. Seuss stories. There was themed arts & crafts, and "Green Eggs and Ham" was served.
