Become a 'Swapinista' in Laney's Closet

Laney Vivo hopes the term "swapinista" will catch on, as that's what she calls a woman who belongs to her exclusive, upscale fashion club, Laney's Closet.

For a monthly fee of $69.95, savvy shopping members can swap their gently or never worn designer clothes and accessories for same valued items.

Vivo, whose background includes 12 years as a fashion buyer and consultant, came up with the idea five years ago. "I love the concept of swapping and I love fashion and love sharing my closet with girlfriends, so I figured out how to combine these passions into a business," Vivo said.

Members, who are seen by appointment at the Agoura Hills location, have access to such upscale brands as 7 for all Mankind, Chloe, Coach, Cole Haan, Ella Moss, Free People, Hale Bob, Hudson, Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors and Michael Stars.

A breast cancer survivor, Vivo donates $3 of the club fee back to cancer charities.
