Lockdown Lifted At Agoura High School After Threat Investigation

Deputies believe the Monday morning report that led to a lockdown may have been a prank "swatting" call, according to Fox 11.

The lockdown at Agoura High School has been lifted following earlier unsubstantiated reports of an armed person outside the school, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

AGOURA HILLS, CA — The lockdown at Agoura High School has been lifted following earlier unsubstantiated reports of an armed person outside the school, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies responded to the school Tuesday morning in response to the reports. After an investigation, authorities determined there was no threat and lifted the lockdown, deputies said.

The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station believes the report was likely a "swatting call," a prank where a false report is made in order to generate a large-scale emergency response, Fox 11 reported.
