May is Building and Safety Month in Agoura Hills

May is Building and Safety Month in Agoura Hills, the time of year when city staff devotes their time to increase the public's awareness of the role building and safety officials play in protecting lives and property of the community.

Throughout the month, staff will educate the public on the important and vital task of constructing safe, healthful, efficient and viable buildings that serve residents and businesses by providing code trainings, setting up booths and passing out a current flyers and informational bulletin and being available to assist the public.

In addition, the staff will meet with local elementary kids and show them a video to illustrate what Building and Safety is about and how they can be more safe by checking few things around their own homes.
