OAKLAND, CA — Deputies seized over 2 lbs. of fentanyl and arrested three men in Oakland Friday as part of an investigation into an operation with connections to Honduras, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Department.

The drug seizure came after detectives executed several search warrants in Oakland. Deputies also seized over $14,000 in cash, a press used to form drugs into bricks and evidence that showed the suspects routinely sent proceeds to Honduras, deputies said.

The amount of fentanyl seized could provide over 496,000 lethal doses, deputies said, citing information from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
