40 Lbs Of Meth Seized Following Alameda County Investigation

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — More than 40 pounds of methamphetamine was seized in the Alum Rock section of San Jose after an investigation, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office said Saturday.
The Alameda County Narcotics Task Force conducted a long-term investigation into the sale of narcotics by a convicted felon who they suspected was trafficking large quantities of methamphetamine throughout the county, the sheriff's office said on social media.
A search warrant served Tuesday at the suspect's residence on Rockaway Drive in San Jose found 18,199 grams of meth, equivalent to 40.2 pounds, the sheriff's office said.

Detectives also recovered other drugs including fentanyl pills, cocaine and oxycodone, a .45-caliber handgun and $22,555 in cash.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
