Alameda Elderly And Disabled Residents Asked To Participate In Survey
The annual survey will be available until Monday, Nov. 13.
ALAMEDA, CA — The city of Alameda is asking for elderly and disabled residents to complete a survey to help determine if the city's transportation programs are meeting people's needs.
According to a news release issued by the city, the annual survey will be available until Monday, Nov. 13.
Those who prefer to complete the survey by hand can pick up a hard copy of the survey at any Alameda library, the Mastick Senior Center, or by calling 510-747-7513 to request a copy.

Currently, Alameda provides affordable transportation options for residents who are older or have disabilities including those who meet financial criteria and are age 65 or older or are between the ages of 18 – 64 with a certified disability.
The AIM or Alameda Independent Mobility Program provides a subsidized curb-to-curb service within Alameda County through Transportation Network Companies like Lyft and Uber. AIM, which is for residents 18+ who are fully enrolled in East Bay Paratransit and meet the financial criteria, is administered by Eden I&R.

Transportation 101 interactive workshops provide information on various transportation options such as AC Transit Clipper Card, Free AC Transit Bus Passes, AIM, and East Bay Paratransit for Mastick Senior Center members and Alameda residents.
Guest speakers provide information on electric vehicles, how to obtain a clipper card and use it, safe driving courses, and more.
Hop on the Bus is a unique travel training program that takes small groups of Mastick Senior Center members interested in improving their transit skills on short bus trips within Alameda using AC Transit.
Transit App Training workshops teach how to use public transit apps to plan trips.

Services are funded by Measures BB transportation sales tax dollars, which are administered by the Alameda County Transportation Commission, the news release said.
