Alameda Fills Key City Position

The City of Alameda has hired someone for the role of Human Resources Director.

ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda has a new human resources director, city officials announced this week.

Noelle White will be filling the role, effective immediately.

White has worked for the City of Alameda since 2021 and was serving as Acting Human Resources Director. Jennifer Ott, Alameda City Manager, appointed White as Human Resources Director this week, officials shared.

“Noelle is a dedicated human resources executive who is experienced in a wide range of HR competencies. [She] expertly guided the City through recent contract negotiations, and I’m confident will lead the department with that same effectiveness,” said Ott.

As Human Resources Director, White will report directly to Ott and oversee the City of Alameda’s Human Resources Department.

The department’s personnel management services include recruitment; training and development; classification and compensation; disability management; and employee and labor relations.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside a wonderful group of professionals and look forward to implementing forward-thinking programs that benefit the City of Alameda,” White said.
