Alameda Firefighters Working To Save LA Homes

They are part of mutual aid strike teams sent to Southern California. Firefighters have poured into LA from 8 states, Canada and Mexico.

ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda firefighters, deployed to Los Angeles to fight devastating wildfires that have burned thousands of homes and killed at least 24 people, provided an update over the weekend.

The Alameda Fire Department has now deployed 8 members, including OES Engine 409 and Water Tender 1, to Los Angeles County. Engine 409 is seen above, as firefighter defend homes from encroaching flames.

The Alameda Fire Department is quick to reassure residents that all local fire stations remained fully-staffed to serve the City of Alameda.
