Here's a look at some recent reports on Alameda:

Newly opened Trabocco Kitchen and Cocktails got a heads up from Eater SF this week, with special mention of the restaurant's beverages. The article notes that the cocktail list includes several offerings that feature vodka and gin from Alameda's St. George Spirits distillery. Read the complete Eater SF report here.

Alameda Hospital's board of directors has approved a plan that would see day-to-day management and financial responsibility for the local hospital handed over to the countywide Alameda Health Systems, The Alamedan reports. For the time being, at least, Alameda Hospital's emergency room and at least half of its acute care beds would remain open. The Alameda Health Systems board considers the proposal next week. Will rising sea levels eventually swamp Alameda Point? Jennifer Ott, the city's chief operating officer for the Point, outlined the latest plans for keeping the former Naval Air Station Alameda high and (mostly) dry at this week's city council meetings.
