Alameda Mom 'Makes Us Whole, Is Always There For Us,' Daughter Says

ALAMEDA, CA— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mom is always here/there for us. She is so strong for all of us. Good and bad, she makes us whole (even if she drives us crazy). She will be 77 this year, and she's still moving and telling us what to do!

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

My mom is always in the background, but she needs to know that we love her dearly, and I hope she knows that her strength and determination is what got us through this thing, called LIFE!
