CA Wine Shop Owner Tried To Meet 13-Year-Old Girl, Instead Met Police: Reports
He was removed from his ownership role immediately after his arrest, his former partner in the business told the San Francisco Chronicle.

OAKLAND, CA — An owner of a Bay Area wine shop was arrested after he arranged to meet a person he thought was a 13-year-old girl, but instead encountered detectives and was taken into custody, reports said.
Cameron Hoppas, 39, of Oakland, was arrested July 30 and charged with lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
Hoppas was a co-owner of Oakland’s Bay Grape, having bought the shop in February with Lara Pearce, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. He was removed from the ownership role immediately after his arrest, Pearce told the Chronicle in a statement Wednesday.
